The 9th VDMA flash survey shows that the effects of the corona pandemic for the mechanical and plant engineering industry in NRW are not as serious as feared. Nevertheless, there is still a rocky road ahead.
In the past few months of the corona pandemic, companies in the mechanical and plant engineering sector have not only revised their production processes and significantly tightened hygiene regulations in the workplace, but have also significantly increased the number of employees working from home.

The VDMA NRW welcomes the fact that the government of North Rhine-Westphalia intends to push ahead with the debureaucratisation also at the federal level and thus to supplement the economic stimulus packages adopted with measures to reduce bureaucracy.
