In den letzten Jahren sind die Themen Bürokratieabbau und politische Rahmenbedingungen verstärkt in den Fokus gerückt. So auch beim Vorstand des VDMA NRW, dessen Mitglieder im Juni 2018 die Entwicklungen mit Vertretern des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen in Berlin diskutierten.

In mid-April, representatives from VDMA NRW met for background talks with the Working Group on Economic Affairs, Energy and State Planning of the CDU parliamentary group in the State parliament.
Revenue in the mechanical engineering and plant construction industry in North Rhine-Westphalia levelled off at over Euro 42.6 billion in 2017, or about EUR 900 million above the previous year’s figure. VDMA NRW predicts a sales increase of 2 percent nominal and xpects sales of about Euro 43.4 billion in 2018.
